Social Worker - Mental Health & Addiction Services, Opioid Substitution Team, Manawatu

The Opportunity

Te Uru Rauhi, Mental Health and Addiction Services at MidCentral district have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Registered Social Worker. This position will be based in the Manawatu locality and provide some services across the rohe.

 

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a level of knowledge and skill in the assessment and management of mental health and addiction presentations within a community setting. The ability to work biculturally for improved equity of health outcomes is favourable. The role will also include the capacity to be part of a new model of care Te Mātāpuna o te Ora which focuses on an integrated treatment approach for those who would benefit from mental health and addiction services.   We are looking for a candidate who is highly motivated, is committed to ensuring culturally responsive care, is excited by change and able to work across teams, and is committed to a strengths based recovery approach that supports people and family/whanau to achieve their goals.
