About the Role
We have an opportunity for a motivated Community Mental Health Social Worker to join our General Adult Team at the community site based in Dargaville, Kaipara. The purpose of the social work role is to provide specialist social work assessments, interventions and intensive social work support for clients of all ages to promote and facilitate the highest potential of functional independence.
About the Service
The community mental health service provides community-based assessment and treatment services to people, including those presenting with alcohol and drug issues, through both community follow-up and outpatient clinics.

About you
Working with a passionate, multi-disciplinary team who place great value on putting people first, you will have the standard of clinical practice and expertise necessary to effectively provide for tāngata whaiora and whānau needs within the service here in Northland.
- Current registration and APC – NZSWRB
- Full New Zealand driver's licence
- Health Social Work experience in a community mental health setting
- Experience working with individuals and families with diverse needs
- Demonstrated experience in social work processes, theories and concepts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven conflict resolution skills
