You will be a key member of the Atlas Team, which sits under Digital & Information Services. Atlas is an internal digital product at WorkSafe which helps our kaimahi and the general public connect to ensure New Zealander's get home safe from work every day. We are an Agile product team that consists of designers, developers, change & communications managers, release managers, testers, technical leads, and a dedicated product owner. We care passionately about the work we do, and pride ourselves on delivering value back to the organisation and solving user-centric problems. We celebrate our successes and strive to always be learning, and to have fun while doing so.
Ō te tūranga - About the role
We are looking for a skilled Solutions Architect to join our team on a fixed term opportunity to 21 November 2025.
The Solutions Architect plays an important role defining the IT architecture standards and provides architecture governance across the business, guiding the organisation in making IT investment decisions.
Ko tōu ake mahi - What You'll Do
- Define WorkSafe Mahi Haumaru architecture requirements that support the strategic objectives of Digital & Information Services
- Research and maintain an awareness of best practices in systems architecture
- Ensure WorkSafe Mahi Haumaru architecture requirements are communicated to, understood and adopted by others whose products or services need to comply with them
- Partner with the organisation to foster innovation and identify ideas/solutions that can help evolve WorkSafe Mahi Haumaru's technology offering to meet current and future needs of the organisation
Ko ngā pukenga ōu - What You'll Bring
- Significant experience in a Solutions Architect or technical lead role within a large/complex organisation
- Proven ability to understand requirements and create designs to enable the implementation of new technology systems or platforms
- Expert knowledge of the Microsoft Technology Stack, including Azure and Dynamics 365
- Sound knowledge of all components of an enterprise technical architecture

Awhe utu - Salary range
As part of our remuneration framework the full salary range for the position is from $136,709 to $180,906. Note: KiwiSaver/SSRSS employer contribution is additional to/on top of your base salary.
