About the Role
An opportunity exists for a Specialist Anaesthetist to join the Department of Anaesthesia and Pain Management at Health New Zealand, Te Whatu Ora, Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty. This is a for a permanent position based in the beautiful Bay of Plenty, where will join a department and location that is experiencing growth.
As a team member with a commitment to providing Anaesthesia and Pain Services across the Bay of Plenty, you will participate in all parts of service provision including providing care for all age groups, Afterhours, Obstetrics and Acute Care. If this is you, we would like to hear from you – come and join our Anaesthetic team working in the Bay of Plenty.
- The successful applicant must hold qualifications that meet the criteria for vocational registration or eligible for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
- Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.

Health New Zealand – Te Whatu Ora, Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty is spread across a vast geographical area and centred across two hospitals based in Tauranga and Whakatāne.
