About the Role

Our Child Development Service in Whakatāne is seeking a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to join the team on a permanent part time basis working 36 hours per week. 

As a Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist you will be working with clients aged 0-2 years, who have disabilities or are at risk of developing them.  You will be responsible for providing speech and language assessment and treatment and feeding services for the children you see.  You will be working as part of a small multi-disciplinary highly motivated team of allied health professionals, including, but not limited to occupational therapy, physiotherapy and social work. 

Our successful candidate will thrive in a small team environment, working holistically with children in both the community and home environments.  You will also be seeing babies in our inpatient Special Care Baby Unit at the hospital for feeding assessment and intervention.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Full clean NZ drivers licence
