Salary: $77,087 - $100,163 (pro rata)

An opportunity with an experienced team to support you, awaits the successful candidate. You will be exposed to in-patient, out-patient and community settings, across a variety of adult populations.

The current SLT team at Hutt hospital comprises a small number of experienced, caring, innovative and flexible professionals. We need an engaged team Player, who values MDT working methods and patient care as a top priority, in the wards and in other settings. We provide a rich learning environment in a hospital setting that encompasses exposure to a broad variety of specialities.
Moū - About you
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- 2 years + clinical practice would be preferred; New Graduates can be accommodated
- Clinical experience within the areas of In-patient wards , Adult Community patients, and/or Adult out-patients is preferable
- Clinical experience doing swallowing assessments (bedside assessments as well as instrumental assessments)
- Experience providing communication solutions for patients with complex communication difficulties/needs
- NZSTA Annual Practising Certificate
- Current member of the NZSTA
- Qualification with an NZSTA accredited or approved Speech-language Therapy program (BSc. SLT / MSLTPrac)
- Dysphagia trained (recognised under/post graduate cert.)
- Critical thinking and analytical skills
- Clinical judgement and decision making
- Collaboration and consultation skills
