Extrastaff are currently seeking a Structural Engineer to work with a client in the Eastern Suburbs, as part of a close-knit team.
About the role:
Extrastaff are currently looking for a Structural Engineer to work on both commercial & residential projects, ensuring high-quality results and client satisfaction. You'll collaborate with a talented team, contributing to developing sustainable and resilient structures.
Our client is a specialist construction company that completes projects from the design and conception phase all the way through to hand-over. They have a talented team of in-house designers and architects, Project Managers, and Engineers.
This position is technical and project delivery focused. Our client will also require you to undertake multiple responsibilities, demonstrate leadership, utilise your in-depth engineering knowledge to motivate and inspire colleagues and junior team members.
About you:
- Must have a great understanding of NZ design Standards and Codes
- Must have 2 years+ experience of a similar role in NZ
- Relevant engineering tertiary education (BE is preferred)
- Ability to undertake day to day Engineering tasks with little supervision.
- High level of attention to detail, and experience preparing structural drawings with and without drafting assistance
- Capability to perform planning, concept and detailed design
- Must have great written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have rights to work in NZ
- Must hold a NZ Driving license
