What we are looking for:
· Welding certifications is an advantage
· Proficiency in multiple welding processes, including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
· Minimum 2 years of experience as a structural welder or in a similar role
· Ability to work in various environments, including outdoor and high-altitude settings.
· Ability to interpret and ensure that the welding process is precise.
· Someone who has attention to details
· Able to assist in various steel construction and structural installation duties
· Knowledge with the health and safety in a workplace
· Full NZ Driver’s License
Duties:
· Designing parts and joints for projects
· Maintaining equipment, such as drills, saws, arcs and clamps
· Read and interpret detailed technical drawings and blueprints
· Repairing damaged structures and parts
· Measuring and cutting metal components to required specifications
· Cut, shape, and clean materials, then expertly assemble
· Conduct post-weld inspections to ensure strong, clean, and defect-free joints, adhering to industry standards and codes.
· Ensuring the use of safety equipment, such as personal protective equipment (PPE)
