About the opportunity:

Our Waikanae client is looking for a Surveyor to join their team of land development professionals! They have been operating for 20+ years and are a trusted advisor in land development throughout the Wellington region. This is a great opportunity to enjoy the lifestyle of working and living on the Kapiti coast. 

Role description:

You will be responsible for conducting land surveys, preparing legal descriptions of land boundaries and providing accurate data to support property transactions.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct cadastral surveys and prepare relevant plans and reports (Landonline), including field work
  • Utilise relevant survey equipment (GPS, total stations etc) to capture and process data
  • Coordinates and manages client and project expectations in respect of land development projects
  • Is an experienced project manager and understands the subdivision process
  • Can coordinate other staff to complete land development related tasks
  • Can prepare cost estimates for projects, manage client billing and communication

This role will suit someone with all or some following background/experience/qualities: 

  • BSurv Bachelor of Surveying from Otago, and/or Licensed Cadastral Surveyor
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of land surveying principles, practices, and techniques
  • Proficient in the use of survey equipment and software (preferably 12d)
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid New Zealand driver's license
