He angitūtanga | About the role

As the Web Content and Design Team Lead, you'll have the opportunity lead and mentor a talented team of five to manage and deliver DOC's website content and design. This year is going to be a big one for us, and we're looking forward to finding the right person to jump in as we kick off a major redesign project.

This isn't your average government website - it's large and complex with interesting and wide-ranging subject matter; and as New Zealanders love the great outdoors, we receive a significant number of visitors to the site. We've got our eye on the future and are redesigning the website to better connect New Zealanders and visitors to our nature and enable them to take action to protect and restore it.

In addition to managing the team and their work, you'll also be responsible for strategic advice and thought leadership across the team, directorate, and organisation on the role and use of the website. The portfolio of work you manage will be diverse, creating the opportunity to collaborate with a wide number of subject matter experts from our rangers to our scientists, covering topics such as parks and recreation, biodiversity, policy, and partnerships.
