About the role:
As Team Leader, you'll be responsible for a cross-functional team of Content Designers, User Researchers and UX Designers that produce and support high quality, accessible, human-centred digital content and products.
This multi-faceted role involves:
- providing advice on content design and strategy across the All of Government Service Delivery (AoGSD) group and public sector
- collaborating with stakeholders to establish and agree a clear work programme
- ensuring we have the skills, processes, and capabilities required to make both technical and content change happen in an Agile environment
- managing and leading a team of user experience digital practitioners
- coaching, mentoring, and developing the content designers, user researchers and designers
- leveraging insights to inform strategic and product decisions
- working closely with other teams to ensure the AoGSD Portfolio of products and services are well supported.
About you:
You'll have:
- significant experience in digital content management practices, and New Zealand Government Web Standards and their application
- experience leading and mentoring a diverse team of designers and researchers
- strong stakeholder management skills
- working knowledge of human-centred design practices
- experience using research, analytics, evidence, and best practice to understand user needs and manage optimisation of the digital products
- experience coordinating workshops and meetings with cross-government colleagues and subject matter experts to ensure product content is accurate and complete and make the digital journeys the best they can be for users
- experience interpreting complex content from multiple agencies and using plain language to make it easy for users to find and understand
- practical understanding of Agile delivery methodologies
- strong digital capabilities and understanding of how digital solutions and emerging technology can be leveraged to improve user experiences with government.
