Job Description

Our Mangere based client has an excellent opportunity for someone that is looking to take a step up in leadership role within their career.

With a 3 day weekend involved also, this genuine temp to perm opportunity will not be available for long.

Our client is seeking a mature and reliable Team Leaders with a background within Food Manufacturing that also has the appetite to develop and grow.

If successful, you will be assisting with process work (conveyor belt / production lines), handling food products and must be comfortable working in chilled and warm environments.

Shift Pattern on Offer - Monday to Thursday 6.00am to 4.30pm

  • Flexibility required initially for training purposes as well as work days 

Supporting the Team Operations Manager and other team leaders with managing approx. 30 staff, you will be responsible for processing products and ensuring the products meet company and customer standards.

 

Core responsibilities:

  • Correctly ensure product is correct for lines and machines in operation
  • Quality control checks, from ensuring machines are set through to product being cut and formed with set quality standards as well as checking product for damage and foreign matter containment
  • Documentation is completed and signed off
  • Cleaning duties and maintaining a clean workspace
  • Storing and maintaining materials, equipment, and tools
  • Identifying and escalating, Food Safety & Quality issues, hazards, and risks.
  • Support the team with Food Quality Safety training
  • Support the team in Health & Safety matters - pre-starts or toolbox talks
  • Assist with staffing matters - completing return to work interviews for unplanned absences and leave.

  • Ability to respond calmly and methodically when faced with obstacles
  • Good level of fitness is required as you will manually handle up to 5kg- 15kg

 

Must also:

  • Be able to pass a drug test
  • Comfortable with criminal history checks
  • Experience in industry a MUST.
