Ngā kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
If you're looking for an opportunity to be at the heart of building a safety-focused culture combined with first-class practices in a diverse and challenging environment, this could be your New Year opportunity. This newly created role will enable you to bring your experience and qualifications to bear across a range of scientific, engineering and health labs and environments. This is not your average lab environment – we are innovators and creators, researchers and students with a passion for learning and making a difference in the wider world.
We have a broad range of complex safety and compliance matters that make the work interesting - from a wide range of field-based research (think Antarctica, volcanoes, oceans to name a few), labs and engineering workshops, as well as students on placement in a range of industries.
This is a largely 'green fields' opportunity where you'll be expected to have a positive impact on the safety and compliance culture and performance of the relevant parts of the organisation.
For more information on the role please see the position description.

- You're ready to take a lead role in guiding lab staff, academic researchers and students on best practices, safe methods of work in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same
