Technical Systems Analyst
Are you interested in utilising your technical systems knowledge and experience to work collaboratively in the team that manages and supports NZ's payments systems? Do you have a strong desire to ensure that New Zealand's payments environment and services are held in the highest regard?
Te tūranga - The role
Reporting to the Technical Team Lead within the Application Systems and Technical Operations team, the Technical Systems Analyst is responsible for providing technical systems advice and support to ensure that the payments system functions to optimal service levels to meet the Bank's and stakeholders needs.
The role will work closely with Application Systems Analysts to enhance the operations of the payments system and will liaise and work closely with vendors on all system improvements, changes, issues and upgrades.
The role may be required to work on an after-hours on-call capacity to support the resolution of application or technical issues.
This is a fixed term role until February 2026.
Ō pūkenga - About you
You will have experience with supporting mission critical infrastructure systems. You will ideally have a good understanding of Payment Systems and their operation.
You'll also:
- have experience in infrastructure and application support
- have a relevant tertiary qualification and proven experience in infrastructure and applications support in a corporate environment, including change control management.
- have experience or a keen interest in analysing technical business requirements and designing infrastructure solutions.
- a willingness to drive high quality outcomes while embracing innovation and automation.
- Be organised and articulate at communicating with internal and external stakeholders
- work well in a team environment
