He Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role

We have two exciting opportunities for a Telephonist/Administration Support person to join our team at Tauranga Hospital.  These roles are both challenging and rewarding, an opportunity to make a real difference! 

  • Vacancy one is 0.6 FTE – 48 hours per fortnight
  • Vacancy two is 0.7 FTE – 56 hours per fortnight 

We provide a 24/7 service; therefore, the positions involve 24-hour shift work rotation on an 8-hour shift which involves nightshift and predominantly weekends for these two vacancies. 

Computer expertise and intermediate standards in typing, spelling and grammar are a must.  Six weeks training is provided. 

To meet service demand flexibility is paramount to undertake these roles. 

These roles are covered by PSA National Health Administration Collective Agreement Salary Band 2 - $61,177 to $69,257 (full-time equivalent).

  • Excellent multi-tasking
  • Handle pressure whilst maintaining a sense of humour
  • Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth 
  • Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
