Position Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and reliable Nightshift Traffic Controllers to ensure the safe and efficient flow of traffic on construction sites and roadworks throughout Wellington during nighttime hours. This is a fantastic opportunity for those looking to work in a dynamic environment while contributing to community safety.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and manage traffic flow around work sites during the night.
  • Set up and maintain traffic control devices, including signs and barriers.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers and site workers.
  • Monitor traffic conditions and report any issues to site management.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Valid Traffic Control certification (preferred but not essential; we can assist with training).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
  • Previous experience in traffic management or construction is a plus.
