Job Title: Traffic Management Planner (Temporary Assignment)
Location: Wellington, New Zealand
Contract Duration: Temporary (Specific Assignment)

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Traffic Management Planner to join our team on a temporary work assignment based in Wellington. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing and coordinating traffic flow and ensuring the safe and efficient execution of various works. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, proactive, and have strong experience with traffic management planning tools and customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Rapidly use traffic planning software to develop and implement effective traffic management plans.
  • Utilise Submitica to load customer and emergency works, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local council entities to facilitate smooth project execution.
  • Plan and schedule traffic management activities, ensuring adherence to project timelines.
  • Organise and manage files effectively, ensuring easy access to all necessary documents (using a shared drive system).
  • Print approvals and provide them to the work crew as required for smooth operations.
  • Print and organise markout plans when necessary, ensuring the safety of all involved parties.
  • Coordinate the organisation of markouts as required for the execution of traffic management works.
  • In emergency situations, devise the best approach to fix leaks or other defects quickly and efficiently while maintaining safety.
Key Skills & Experience Required:
  • Proficiency in using Rapid Plan or similar traffic management software.
  • Experience with Submitica for customer and emergency work loading.
  • Established relationship with local council entities in the Wellington area.
  • Strong skills in planning, scheduling, and coordinating work activities.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage files and data efficiently.
  • Ability to work under pressure, particularly in emergency situations.
  • Previous experience in traffic management or a related field is preferred.
