About the Role

Are you an enthusiastic MRI MIT with a current APC in Diagnostic Imaging with a keen interest in MRI training?

We are looking for a qualified MIT with a keen interest in MRI training. The candidate will support both the MRI service and general x-ray for the Lakes region.  The advertised position is based at Rotorua Hospital which has a Siemens Magnetom Aera 1.5T Magnet installed November 2016.  With an upgrade to the XA60 platform and DRB in 2024. We are a small MRI team dedicated to provide a supportive working and learning environment.

The Department offers a full range of head, body and musculo-skeletal MR imaging. The General X-Ray Department is fully equipped with Siemens DR & analogue / DR unit as well as Fluoroscopy, Theatre, GE CT, Siemens MRI, and Ultrasound services. The Department has three DR rooms, two DR mobiles and a Flat Panel C-arm for Theatre. We have an in-house CPD programme as well as support for external CPD.

 

About you

 The successful candidate

  • Must have a MRTB registered MIT Scope of Practice
  • Must have a current Annual Practising Certificate
  • Will have excellent communication skills
  • Have the ability to prioritise workload and a focus on patient-centred care.
  • The role will require working across the MRI suite and general x-ray with the ability to participate in the on call x-ray roster and Saturday MRI sessions.

Salary range

$87,599 to $104,466 pro-rated to hours worked
