  • Flexible part time (20 hours) role from Monday – Friday with the option to choose your hours as long as they fit within peak business hours (9am – 3.00pm).
  • Work as part of a team in this varied and active role.
  • Located at our National Learning Centre in Trentham, Upper Hutt.

Ngā kawenga | About the role

Are you a people person who loves staying active and enjoys tackling a variety of tasks? Do you take pride in keeping things organised and running smoothly? If this sounds like you, then the role of Uniform Coordinator might be your perfect fit!

We are looking for a part-time Uniform Coordinator to assist with the management of the Department's National Uniform Store, making sure that frontline staff are outfitted and ready for their roles. You'll have the opportunity to work with various teams, manage stock, and ensure smooth operations—all while staying flexible and adaptable to changing needs.

Some of your daily tasks will include:

  • Managing the uniform stock securely, ensuring everything is in order and accounted for.
  • Regularly conducting stock takes and place bulk orders to maintain uniform levels.
  • Coordinate with Learning and Development teams to schedule uniform fittings for new recruits.

  • Conducting uniform fittings for new custodial staff.
  • Handling any issues or problems that arise, escalating them to senior managers as needed.
  • Completing a variety of administrative tasks to keep everything running smoothly.

This role offers a lot of variety and requires someone who is detail-oriented, enjoys working with others, and can keep up with a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a high level of written and verbal communication.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages, especially Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong service focus, proactive and responsive to customer needs; and willing to use own initiative.
  • Flexibility and drive, with the ability to reactively switch between priorities.
  • Able to manage own time effectively to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Good accuracy and attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively.

 

Utu ā-tau | Salary

The midpoint of the salary range is $66,007 and the full range (85%-120%) is $56,106 - $79,209. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
