Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

We are welcoming applications from Occupational Therapists or Physiotherapists with Paediatric experience for a 0.5 FTE Visiting Neurodevelopmental Therapist.

The Visiting Neurodevelopmental Therapy (VNT) position is committed to helping children with developmental problems and their families achieve optimum function and well-being. This position provides assessment, provision of appropriate therapy, equipment and support for babies and young children aged 0 - 3 years and their families/whanau/caregivers. 

The VNT works within a multi-disciplinary team, (the Physical Therapy Team) that includes, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, a seating therapist, social work and therapy assistant. The Physical Therapy team is integral to the Child Health Services and is based in the Child & Adolescent Community Centre (CACC) at Taranaki Base Hospital.

We are looking for a qualified Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist, with paediatric experience and a current Annual Practicing Certificate.
