We are looking for an energetic Visits and Events Organiser to join the team and support the delivery of a varied programme of visits and events.
Join a fast paced, service focussed team responsible for planning and organising Official Visits to New Zealand and National Commemorative Events. You will organise and deliver high quality visits and events, managing planning, execution and expectations. Develop your event planning or project management experience, working as part of a high performing team in an exciting Government environment.
Do you have:
- A strong background in event management or logistics and planning.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering a quality product, sometimes under pressure, and always delivering on time.
- Demonstrated experience of developing and maintaining trusted relationships with a range of stakeholders.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office and an aptitude to learn new systems quickly
You'll be known for your excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with key agencies and stakeholders. You will apply appropriate budget administration, risk management and health and safety practices to your work.
The successful candidate will be well organised, thrive in a team environment and bring a "can do" approach to their work.
The ability to work autonomously and irregular hours is required for this position. An understanding of official visits and previous experience interacting with foreign dignitaries within events would be advantageous.
