Our client is an industry leader in personal protective equipment delivering wholesale high quality equipment across 10 categories. The business is locally owned and the team is small, long standing, and dedicated to exceptional service for the distributors and resellers across New Zealand and Australia.
The Role
This is a newly created role to support the growth and speed of the business. As a Warehouse Manager you will be responsible for driving efficiency and productivity of the warehouse, managing the warehouse space and inventory, leading the team, and ensuring a safe working environment. The ideal candidate would be an experienced Warehouse Manager who has a record of process and practice improvements and is keen to take ownership of the role and drive performance.
This role operates 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday. There is parking on site.
- Leading the warehouse team - Small and loyal team of roughly 5 with occasional temp members
- Driving efficiency, productivity, and performance
- Delegating work
- Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders
- Managing projects
- Managing Inventory and warehouse space
- Bookkeeping
- Managing the import/export processes in compliance with MPI Biosecurity Regulations
Ideal Candidate
- Experience as a warehouse manager in a high-volume site
- Previous success in improving systems, processes, efficiency, or performance
- Excellent time management and planning ability
- Excellent ability to communicate effectively with internal departments and team members or external partners
- People management experience
- Comfortable using Microsoft products and inventory systems
- Mathematically confident
- Process driven and accurate
- Ability to forecast needs, space, priorities, and other events for smooth operations
